Service Fixes

I strive to offer my guests the highest level of satisfaction. If you’re not thrilled with your cut or color, let me know within 7 days of your visit and I’ll do my best to make it right.

 

Color services are only guaranteed if you use professional lines of shampoo and conditioner. Please note that professional-looking products bought on Amazon and other big box stores cannot be considered—packing can be deceiving!

 

Retail Returns and Exchanges

If you’re unsatisfied with a retail purchase made from Brittany Kate Hair, store credit (to be used for retail purchases only) will be granted if you return it within 60 days of your purchase.

 

Cancellation/Late Arrival Policy

In order to continue providing the best possible scheduling options to my guests, I require 24 hours notice should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment with me. Should you need to reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, a $25 per service cancellation fee applies and will be due before a new appointment can be scheduled. A no show appointment would result in full payment of missed appointment before rescheduling again. I do my best to accommodate a late arrival, however if your are more than 15 minutes late you will be marked and charged as a no show appointment. 

 

Consulting With Your Stylist

The following conditions and circumstances are important to address with your colorist prior to your appointment, as they may cause negative chemical reactions within/to the hair when mixed with salon chemical services:

 

  • Previously over-processed hair caused by repeatedly layering dyes over porous, pre-lightened hair

  • Prescription medications that inadvertently alters the bonds of the hair (methotrexate, sulfa-based medications) Please see “Consulting With Your Physician” for more information.

  • Thermal damage caused by overuse of hot tools

  • Use of metallic dyes, salts, or minerals found in box color

  • Use of henna or vegetable dyes

  • Permed or relaxed hair

  • The use of well water in your home (in the shower)


Consulting With Your Physician

Color history and the use of medications must be disclosed when consulting with your stylist. If you are currently under the care of a physician, it is your responsibility to confer with your provider and research if color services are compatible with any prescription medication or treatments you’re currently taking or undergoing.

 

It is my priority to conduct thorough consultations for all services provided through the salon; however, it is each client's personal responsibility to be upfront and honest about their hair history and to research the items above that may apply to them. If you have questions or concerns about my policies, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

 

Any damage caused to the hair as a result of undisclosed information during the consultation is not the responsibility of the stylist.
